We have been using Transit since the mid 1980s and have recently upgraded to Transit Odyssey. We've kept using the system for so long because it works. Our schedules are produced in minimal time, our customers get their deliveries on time and we have a basis for which we can measure the performance of our transport contractors. |

We selected Odyssey because it met most of our criteria, and the ease of implementation and user-friendliness of Transit stacked up better than the competition. Being an Australian company was also a big advantage, because of the local support and ability to change the system if necessary. We also felt Transit's total price offering was very competitive. We purchased Odyssey in 2005 after winning the next stage of the CSR Bradford contract, partly as a result of the tender cost modelling that Transit did for us. We chose Transit because they are the market leader in Australia, the culture of the business matched ours, their support service is second-to-none and they run as a true partnership operation. We purchased the Transit system in 2001 initially to reduce costs. Although we were able to achieve that aim, we find the ongoing use of Odyssey very beneficial to our business. In particular, it helps us manage our outsourced transport as it gives us control over the efficiencies of the work they do. It’s just magic! |

The Transit Feasibility Study gave us a comprehensive cost benefit analysis, allowing us to evaluate Transit’s transport scheduling capabilities and applications to our business with great confidence. We were able to make a purchase decision with our eyes wide open. |

We purchased Transit Odyssey in 2003 to simplify our scheduling process and cut down the time it takes. We looked at other scheduling systems – some were cheaper, some were dearer – but we found Transit Odyssey a breeze to use compared to the other systems. Also the Transit staff are more friendly and we got straight answers. Read more >> |
